St Cedds Youth Club Annual Report 2013,

We are still the longest running youth club in the Diocese with our Junior and Senior clubs continuing to flourish. On Friday evenings we attract 35 youngsters to our Junior Club and 25 youngsters to our Senior club. We average 8 adult helpers and 5/6 younger helpers, but are always willing to accept other volunteers. We open throughout the school holidays as well. We enjoyed a trip to adventure island, a wet activity day at Stubbers outdoor centre, Paintball, a trip roller skating, a night exercise, Essex rep football and cricket, the Jack Petchey presentation evening, A group of 12 also enjoyed a weekend activity camp at Stubbers as well. We run two football teams in the East London Christian League and we also participate in some five a side competitions.. We are part of the Jack Petchey award scheme and have also become part of a pilot scheme they are running this year. Five of our junior helpers completed young leader training this year with Essex Boys and Girls clubs unfortunately our own diocese do not offer any training. Our leaders enjoyed a social evening at the Mirage as well as a social evening at both Easter and Christmas. We have over the past year managed to donate £400 to parish funds Our accounts are independently audited We helped run the games and the Santa’s grotto at the Christmas bazaar.
